Intelligence is now Infrastructure
Today, we’re releasing Frontal 0.1.0.
This is the first release of the Frontal platform.
We believe software is entering a new era.
For decades, software has been built to execute instructions. It stores data, runs workflows, and exposes functionality for people and other software to operate.
Now software can understand.
It can reason across context, make decisions, use tools, and take action.
But intelligence cannot become part of enterprise software through a model alone.
It needs infrastructure.
Frontal is that infrastructure.
Intelligence Needs A System
A model can generate an answer.
It cannot, by itself, understand an organization’s entire context, determine what it is allowed to access, execute a workflow, observe its own behavior, or operate reliably in production.
That requires a system around the model.
Frontal brings that system together.
- Agents provide reasoning and action.
- Ontology gives enterprise data meaning.
- Data provides the context intelligent systems operate on.
- Workflows connect intelligence to real business processes.
- Runtime provides the infrastructure to execute intelligent software.
- Security establishes control and boundaries.
- Observability makes intelligent systems understandable in production.
These aren’t separate products assembled into a bundle.
They are the foundation of the same system.
From Context To Action
The most important capability of intelligent software isn’t generating text.
It’s being able to understand what is happening and do something about it.
Frontal connects enterprise context with software capable of reasoning and acting.
- An agent can work with data.
- A workflow can coordinate actions.
- A runtime can execute them.
- Security can define the boundaries.
- Observability can show what happened.
Together, these capabilities create a path from:
Context → Understanding → Decision → Action
That is the foundation we’re building.
Built For The Enterprise
Enterprise software doesn’t get to operate in a clean environment.
It has to work with existing systems.
Existing data.
Existing permissions.
Existing processes.
And real consequences.
That’s why control is part of the architecture.
Frontal is built with security, observability, evaluation, and reliable execution as fundamental infrastructure.
Intelligence should increase an organization’s capability without removing its control.
What Ships In 0.1.0
Agents
Build intelligent systems that can reason over context, use tools, and take action.
Ontology
Represent the entities, relationships, and meaning that make enterprise context understandable to intelligent software.
Data
Connect the information intelligent applications need to reason about the enterprise.
Workflows
Turn decisions into repeatable processes by connecting agents, data, tools, and business logic.
Runtime
Execute intelligent applications, agents, and workflows with the reliability and isolation required for production.
Security
Define the identities, permissions, and boundaries that govern what intelligent software can access and do.
Observability
Understand how intelligent systems behave, inspect executions, and identify failures across production workloads.
0.1 Is Only The Beginning
This release establishes the core platform.
It gives developers the primitives required to begin building intelligent applications and gives enterprises the foundation required to operate them.
From here, the platform will expand rapidly.
- More capable agents.
- Richer ontology.
- Deeper enterprise integrations.
- More powerful workflows.
- Stronger evaluation and benchmarking.
- More runtime capabilities.
- More control.
- More ways for intelligent software to operate safely in production.
We’re not trying to build another AI feature layer.
We’re building the infrastructure beneath a new generation of software.
Frontal 0.1.0 is where it starts.
Intelligence is now infrastructure.
