Connector lifecycle
Understand what happens from authorization through synchronization, maintenance, and disconnection.
A connector moves through four stages:
- Authorize — authenticate a source account with only the required access.
- Configure — choose objects, schedule, mapping, and destination workspace.
- Synchronize — ingest a first snapshot, then process changes according to the connector's supported mode.
- Maintain or disconnect — refresh credentials, investigate failures, or remove the source and follow the workspace retention policy.
Every sync should surface the source, time, schema version, records processed, failures, and freshness. This provenance is what lets a reader understand where an answer came from.
